Mindfulness Based Living Course

Have you ever found yourself doing one thing, but thinking about another?

Do you worry about things that may never happen, or dwell on things in the past that you can’t change?

Does living in this way cause frustration, anxiety and regret?

Would you like to find a different way to meet the challenges of life – one that’s less reactive and more accepting?

If so, this 8 week course is a chance to experience mindfulness in a fuller, richer way.

The Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC) is a comprehensive programme of mindfulness training. It is recognised as an eight week course in the Good Practice Guidelines of British Association of Mindfulness based Approaches .

You’ll be provided with the tools (and a course manual) to develop a mindfulness practice to bring into your personal and professional life.

The course involves eight weekly  sessions, plus an introductory and follow-up session, together with the  option of a half-day of practice, at no extra cost.

An individual commitment to meditation practice of between 20 and 45 minutes a day is recommended for maximum benefit.

Is this the right course for me?

No previous experience is needed. Like any new skill, developing a more Mindful You takes time and practice.

As  an experienced Clinical Psychologist and fully qualified Mindfulness teacher, I’ll offer you all the tools and support you need to start, and to nurture your own mindfulness practice.

How much you use these tools will determine how much of a change can be possible in your own life.

Approach the course with an open heart, and mind, and a willingness to see the world, and yourself in a different way. Staying curious about the possibilities this brings.

To gain most benefit from the course, it is recommended that you invest between 20 and 45 minutes a day of personal practice.

Don’t worry, we’ll gradually build up the practice period as your own mindfulness grows.

Also, you’ll be invited to bring mindfulness into your everyday life, and see what happens – do you notice anything different?
